It’s been about a year since I decided that instead of selling my own art (which was rapidly losing passion for me), I really wanted to teach artists how to do it for themselves… as long as they continue to feel the passion.
Today, I’m reminded of how very grateful I am for so many people and things in my life.
Whether you’re celebrating Thanksgiving today, like me, or not, I would like for you to take today to stop worrying about where you haven’t gotten in your art career. Instead, I want you to think about all the wonderful things you do have so far – the things you are truly grateful for.
In your career, these can be a day job that gives you the opportunity to make art on the side, having been able to quit your dayjob, your incredible talent, a teacher who really inspired you, etc. etc.
Let this be a day you think only about the beautiful blessings of your life instead of dwelling on to-do lists, what hasn’t gotten done, and where you wish you were in life.
Without further ado, go enjoy your Thanksgiving!
